Here’s to two long weekends in a row! Wonderful work week smacked in the middle of two holidays. And what holidays do we owe this occurrence to?
On the multicultural isles of Trinidad and Tobago, Eid-ul Fitr, and Emancipation Day teamed up and granted us double days off, cutting of the beginning and ending of the week.
More importantly though, in recognition of the rich diverse culture and history that makes up our society, many organizations celebrate and observe our various holidays. I missed the Eid festivities but I was able to capture some of the beautiful emancipation décor, where I work.
